Security checks

The Security Checks feature in the Tiburon trading terminal is designed to provide users with comprehensive insights into the security and risk status of the tokens they are trading. Located next to the chart panel, this section displays various checks and data points that help you assess the safety of a coin. Below is an example of how these checks work using the $WIF token.

Overview of Security Checks

When you select a token, the Security Checks section will display the following information

RugCheck Data

• Provides basic information about the token, such as the name, symbol, and a corresponding icon.

• Risk Assessment: Shows any potential risks associated with the token. For example, in the case of $WIF, the system flags "Single holder ownership," which means a large portion of the token supply is controlled by a single entity. This is a potential risk factor, as it could lead to price manipulation or a "rug pull" scenario.

Verification Status

• This section can expand to show whether the token has been verified by third-party services. Verification helps establish trust and legitimacy by confirming that the token's contract matches its publicly declared functions and intentions.

Top 20 Holders

• Displays the top 20 wallet addresses holding the token and their corresponding percentages of the total supply. For example, $WIF has one holder with 21.4031% of the total supply, indicating significant centralization.

• This data is crucial for understanding the distribution of a token and identifying potential whales (large holders) who could impact market liquidity and price stability.

Markets

• Shows the various markets where the token is listed along with liquidity and the percentage of LP (Liquidity Provider) tokens that are locked. For example, $WIF is listed on several markets with varying liquidity levels.

• The LP Locked percentage is a key indicator of trust. A higher percentage of LP tokens locked usually means less risk of liquidity being pulled by developers, thus lowering the risk of a rug pull.
